First Monday of April. Day 752 since that Friday two years ago when the start of the #quarantine was announced due to the #Covid19 #Pandemic in #Venezuela. For the record of the day, since I have had a very calm and uneventful day (none beyond a small electrical failure), my post will be a bit short, I will settle more than everything on the ephemeris: Today, in 1968 , Martin Luther King, leader of civil rights for the black population of the United States and Nobel Peace Prize winner, is assassinated in Memphis #USA.
I am especially struck by this event, because it reminds me of how difficult the fight for civil and human rights has been in different parts of the world... seeing that even today, humans can be very inhuman in certain circumstances, as the case of the mass graves that are being recorded in the case of #Ukraine seems to demonstrate once again, I have seen some news from sites like Bucha and it really leaves me with a soul ache... It is true that we humans are an impressive species, for better or for worse.

Primer lunes de abril. Día 752 desde aquel viernes de hace dos años en que se anunció el inicio de la #Cuarentena por la #Pandemia de #Covid19 en #Venezuela. Para el registro del día, ya que he tenido un día muy tranquilo y sin sobresaltos (ninguno más allá de una pequeña falla eléctrica), mi post va a resultar un poco breve, me afincaré más que todo en la efemérides: Hoy, en 1968, asesinan en Memphis #EEUU a Martin Luther King, líder de los derechos civiles para la población negra de los Estados Unidos y Premio Nobel de la Paz.
Me llama la atención en especial esta efeméride, pues, me hace recordar lo difícil que ha sido la lucha por derechos civiles y humanos, en distintas partes del mundo... viendo que aún en la actualidad, los humanos podemos ser muy inhumanos en ciertas circunstancias, tal como parece demostrar una vez más el caso de las fosas comunes que se están registrando en el caso de #Ucrania, he visto algunas noticias de sitios como Bucha y de verdad que me dejan como que un dolor de alma... de verdad que los humanos somos una especie impresionante, para bien o para mal.
Te deseo que estés bien y que nos podamos leer en otra oportunidad.
