Saint Joseph (Father's Day) - San José (Día del Padre)

Today is Saint Joseph's Day in the Catholic saints, Father's Day is celebrated on this date in several countries. I am on a quiet Saturday here in #Venezuela, on its 736th day since the announcement of the #quarantine due to the #Covid19 pandemic that is with us to this day.
I was a bit undecided on which history or ephemeris theme to take for the day's log, but I settled on one that made me jump a bit before checking out. You see, I'm pretty bad at remembering dates and celebrations, so when I saw on the calendar that it was Father's Day I was surprised and thought of calling my father to congratulate him, but then I noticed that in Venezuela we celebrate this in June, the third Sunday of that month, following the American custom more than the Spanish custom, because in Spain and Portugal (among other countries) parents are celebrated today.

Hoy es día de San José en el santoral católico, se celebra en esta fecha en varios países el Día del Padre. Estoy en un tranquilo sábado acá en #Venezuela, en su día 736 desde el anuncio de la #cuarentena por la pandemia de #Covid19 que hasta el día de hoy nos acompaña.
Estaba un poco indeciso sobre que temática de la historia o de las efemérides tomar para el registro del día, pero me decidí por uno que me hizo saltar un poco antes de revisar. Tu verás, soy bastante malo para recordar fechas y celebraciones, así que cuando vi en el calendario que era el Día del Padre me sorprendí y pensé en llamar a mi padre para darle una felicitación, pero luego noté que en Venezuela celebramos esto es en junio, el tercer domingo de ese mes, siguiendo más la costumbre norteamericana que la costumbre española, pues en España y Portugal (entre otros países) si se festeja a los padres el día de hoy.

I must report on personal things, that the electrical service is giving me a hard time, it is intermittent, which is (unfortunately) something frequent and that there seems to be no real interest in solving it on the part of the authorities, in short, almost everyone public and basic services to have some quality of life are working very poorly around here... the incredible thing is that one gets used to everything and dedicates himself to surviving.
Anyway, at least today's electrical failures have not left me unable to publish this, there are states and regions in my country that can spend a whole day or more without electricity, in short, one already accepts that one has to do what you can and stay afloat. Debo reportar en cosas personales, que el servicio eléctrico me está haciendo pasar un mal rato, está intermitente, cosa que es (por desgracia) algo frecuente y que no parece haber interés real en resolverlo por parte de las autoridades, en fin, casi todos los servicios públicos y básicos para tener algo de calidad de vida están funcionando muy mal por acá... lo increíble es que uno se acostumbra a todo y se dedica es a sobrevivir.
En fin, por lo menos las fallas eléctricas de hoy no me han dejado sin poder publicar esto, hay estados y regiones en mi país que pueden pasar un día entero o más sin servicio eléctrico, en fin, que ya uno acepta que se tiene que hacer lo que se puede y seguir a flote. Te deseo que tú estés bien y nos podamos leer en otra oportunidad.
