One day, I saw a Facebook post from a friend that he is clamming on a beach near his property. Curious, I messaged him to ask if there are really clams on that beach and I got an affirmative reply from him. Since I love seafoods, I went to the northern end of the rocky beach where he made his post to try my luck to have some clams for lunch.
As I walked my way going to the site where the clams can be possibly acquired, I saw these children who live at the nearby village roaming on the rock bed and they are not merely playing or bumming around but they also look for edible stuff from the sea as it was lowtide at that time.
Then I saw this boy sitting on the beach digging the sand for something so I asked him what he is doing and he said he is digging the sand to look for clams. So I observed him and watched his every movement for me to have an idea on how he get those clams I saw inside the small pail he brought.
Then I looked for a spot of where I can also have my own catch and sat on the ground to start digging on the wet sand and after a couple of minutes, I was able to have something.
Then I moved to another location just near the spot where I had my first catch, repeat the process which I observed from the boy until I already have enough clams to partake with my family when I went home.
I arrived home happily and my wife cooked the clams to be served for our lunch of which she cooked sauteed clams with tomatoes and stewed moringa fruits with clams.
