The Airport and The Garden
With the temperatures hitting the high teens (F) last night I thought I would look back to some photos from a walk in warmer times.

The Walk Begins
We decided to go a different direction today on our walk near the airport. We park the car I grab my camera and we head east to see the new sights in an area we have not explored yet. 👉
Our first view upon crossing the main road is a helicopter landing. There is wildfire burning about 10 miles away so there has been a lot of refueling stops at the aerport.
As we approach the community garden I capture a couple of the variety of sunflowers.
There is also an array of ornamental flowers to be seen.
A plane leaving the airport. You can also get a feel for some of the wildfire smoke hanging in the air.
Not the clearest shot but I put a lot of effort into getting this. I got down on the ground and contorted my body to try and get the perfect shot. Instead of perfect I got this. 😂 I do like the white pollen clinging to him though. 😁
Tow large tomatoes... one about ready to eat and one for later in the month.
A panorama of a portion of the garden with The Three Sisters in the background.
Some of the old west imagery inside the garden.

And a last shot on the walk back to the car of the natural environment of the Central Oregon high desert.

I actually did not know that Oregon had high desert~! The flowers are beautiful and I remember how cold the desert gets at night~
We are kind of right on the edge of the high desert and the pine forests that come off the east side of the Cascade Mountain range. And you are right it does get cold, 8 degrees F forecast for over nite lows the next couple nights. BBBRRRRRR! :)
