It's been one and a half years that it feels like life has come to a standstill for a major part of the world. Till March 2020, we were all in full swing living life, making plans and then suddenly came a big jolt and it brought everything to halt. It's not that we are not living life, for some it has been just regular, for some it may be like some big plans have been kept aside waiting for this period to ease out.
For me, I have many things to do, and while most of the things are already on the go as the current situation is not impacting much on it. But there is one thing that was my plan for 2020 and it had to be cancelled because of the situation, so that would be the first thing I will do when the situation gets better.
That one thing is a Cruise Holiday. I had planned a Mediterranean Cruise for our 25th Anniversary last year and then everything had to be cancelled. We had finalized almost everything with our agent and had booked the MSC Cruiseline for a 7 night Cruise starting from Italy and going to Greece, Albania, Croatia and back to Italy. Awww my heart cries thinking of it.
We all were so excited about this holiday, I was planning the whole thing almost from a year and saving for it. It was going to be my first Cruise holiday. Previously we had done some small Cruise destination in Egypt but that experience cannot be compared with something like this. We all were looking forward to this holiday. End of August was the time we had planned to travel.
As and when things get better, this is on my priority list. This is going to be a lot of travel and a lot of formalities as well, and as of now looking at the conditions Travel is one thing which is most impacted and where major reforms have taken place. So not sure how it is going to work out. For sure I will not be doing it till it is completely safe and we can do our holidays peacefully.
Travelling is going to be a whole lot of a different experience going forward, it's not going to be as smooth and easy as the previous times. Some Countries may have more stricter requirements than others. As of now, all we can do is patiently wait for the right time to make things happen.
Doing it in haste and then getting into unnecessary trouble is no good.
There are some other plans as well, but those are not much impacted and I can still continue with them even in this time, this is the only one which has got cancelled.
I am sure there must be many people like me, who must have made such plans and then had to cancel it without any choice.
