The one Crystal that I am in absolute love at all times is Amethyst. Not only with it's healing properties but I even love the look of this gorgeous beauty. The purplish color when you look at it, it instantly connects you with some higher power. This particular one was gifted to me by a client and I have fallen so much in love with it.
Amethyst is available very easily and it is duped also very easily. A low quality clear quartz can be treated with color and can be easily sold as Amethyst. So how can one know if it is a real Amethyst or not. It is difficult to know if the Crystal is real or not unless it goes for a extensive lab testing, but still there are some ways in which you can get a fair idea.
One of it is, a real crystal will not be in it's perfect color, you will always find some shade variations in it, no matter whatever size it is of. If it has grown in nature it will have some color variations, whereas the lab grown crystals are perfect in their color shade. This I am talking about the raw crystals and not the gem quality crystals, because there is a different process for that. The other thing is when someone tries to sell you at a cheaper bargain then you can understand that it may not be of a high quality or a real one.
It is a very gorgeous and a good quality one.
Amethyst is a very gorgeous and a very sensitive crystal, It has a very cooling effect and it will help us balance our energies. Till date most of the people with who I have interacted on crystals have confessed that Amethyst has been the first ever crystal in their life. It has some magic in it that it attracts almost everyone who takes a first glance at it. Even my first crystal was Amethyst. That was way back in 2007, when I visited a museum in London and picked it up from there. And that's where my Crystal journey also began. I regularly wear an Amethyst beads mala as I feel very calm and relaxed with it on me.
Amethyst has a very sweet folklore. It is said that Bacchus the Divine Greek God of wine was once angered by the lower energy beings, In anger he made a vow that he would give a violent tiger death to the very next mortal he would come across. At the same time a very pretty girl name Amethyst was to cross his path and the first one he would encounter, so Goddess of nature and hunt Diana gave a protection to Amethyst by turning her into a clear crystal quartz that she could be saved from Bacchus wrath. Bacchus realized his mistake and poured wine over Amethyst in regret, however he did not pour enough to cover Amethyst completely and hence the purple color of Amethyst crystal has so much of color variation and uneven. Since the crystal was anointed with wine it is also believed to be a crystal for sobriety.
Another thing of Amethyst is that if it is exposed to Sunlight for a very long time, it's color will fade a little bit. This fading will not happen again if the crystal is not real. Brazilian Amethyst are the most famous one and also of high quality.
If someone has insomnia, they can keep Amethyst crystal tumbles under the pillow along with rose quartz crystal. It is also good to have one Amethyst Cluster in your living room space. A Crystal for February month, hence good for both Piscines’ and Aquarians.
This Amethyst Angel was gifted to me by my Son, when I was moving to Muscat. I have it at my Altar.
I called it a master and a universal crystal. It has no side effects, anyone can use it without any fear of any kind of impact and can be used by everyone including children.
