Hello friends

on this occasion I want to promote a historic place in Aceh, namely the Great Mosque of Meulaboh

The Baitul Makmur Grand Mosque is the largest and grandest mosque on the west coast of Meulaboh City, Aceh Province, Indonesia.

The mosque, which is located in Seuneubok Village, Johan Pahlawan District, Meulaboh City, has an architectural blend of Middle East, Asia and Aceh as well as the selection of bright brown colors combined with brick red in the mosque's dome.

The hallmark of the mosque that can be seen in plain view is the three main domes flanked by two smaller water tower domes. The shape of the heads of all the domes is the same, which is round with a sharp tip, a typical blend of Middle Eastern and Asian architecture.

The combination of building space and architectural beauty that forms a grand structure has made the Baitul Makmur Meulaboh Grand Mosque into the 100 Most Beautiful Mosques in Indonesia, a book compiled by Teddy Tjokrosaputro & Aryananda published by PT Andalan Media, August 2011, with a thickness of 209 pages.

The building of the Great Mosque of Baitul Makmur Meulaboh looks very prominent with a blend of Middle Eastern, Asian and Acehnese architectural styles and the selection of bright brown colors combined with brick red in the mosque dome.

The head shape of all the domes is the same, which is round with a sharp tip, a distinctive blend of Middle Eastern and Asian architecture. This mosque will be equipped with two new minarets which as of this writing are still in the completion stage.

The minaret will make the mosque look even more magnificent and can serve as a landmark for the local area of Meulaboh.

The gate to the mosque is also a special feature. The gate that stands alone with a distance of a few meters from the mosque looks very elegant. This gate seems to emphasize that anyone who enters the gate will encounter a very beautiful view.
Inside the mosque, there are two different spatial concepts. First, visitors are greeted by a room that has many pillars on the second floor as a mezzanine.

In the middle there is a spacious room that feels very relieved with decorative lights right in the middle.
Middle Eastern architectural style inspiration can also be seen from the form of the mihrab.

The mihrab, which looks very beautiful, is dominated by brown and golden shades typical of bronze material with distinctive Islamic ornaments. The impression of luxury and coolness is immediately felt when looking at him.
