Thought I closed the night out with music by the beach but somebody threw me some of those hi-dose edibles gratis and there is a tourist couple making out on my concrete bench.
Looks like I’m gonna do the ministry update I woke up wanting to do today after all.
Apple Pay is a thing and I am so grateful to the family that saw fit to send me some money today.
Expenses today were $2. If you have a phone number to punch in at 7-11 you can get a large black coffee and two crappy ring donuts for $2.
Two major accomplishments to report on this eve of week three.
Dogs are of course still important.
Finally got to make friends with this sweetheart who I have been eyeballing at the community center the last weeks.
The runaway teenager we have been keeping eye on and counseling elected to go to the community center for help getting off the streets. While I certainly don’t have much confidence in the State to do her any good I am confident in that little warrior’s awareness. Pray for her to get to the family that she trusts.
She and I were a little oil and water with my motor mouth status and her pagan beliefs. Her last night here she got stuck with me as the only adult around. Fun times when at 3:30 AM we had positioned the blanket to get fire hosed by a very well concealed sprinkler system at the library. Rough last night sleeping wet.
Either way, I know she was safe while she drifted through these parts. Team effort and big victory.
The mother and son that kept to themselves has also left the boardwalk. Nobody is official about goodbyes around here so I’m going with they found some Providence and are now somewhere more comfortable.
One of my favorite people out here had a big day! The access to funds she had lost that left her in some straits has been resolved. Of course she had no concerns as the family here had her back on everything we could. Food. Weed. Couple nights shelter.
I’m not even gonna try and tell you her story. I’ll tell you the observation I made to her about her… ‘you are very impressive. A strong woman on survival mode.’
She’s been that for a long, long time.
She also loves the beach project idea.
We are close to putting together a mobile ministry to the homeless and those faithful to His name.
People are starting to understand what is happening.
Party bus down by Prophet Beach.
Something to see baby…
There is an angel caged currently and she is all the way on the other side of the Land of Confusion from me.
I talk to my Father about her every day.
Pray for her enemies. If they knew what they were doing they wouldn’t be doing it.
The Lord knows your deeds, wolves in sheep clothing.
Wanna talk about it?
Find me.
I’m the sheepdog running with the wolves.
Father, please let this special group of people take the leap of faith together.
Help me put these lamps on stands.
As I was writing this (and the edibles started kicking in), a woman asked me if I would like some chicken strips. Offering your restaurant leftovers to the homeless is such a good idea. You never know who you may have just treated kindly and Who may have seen it.
You may not like cold scraps but I have a highly cost efficient model to continue to develop.
Still at $2 for food today.
