Who cares what I learned when I was living with those living outside?

I learned some things… but more importantly I made some family.

Most won’t recognize their faces cuz they look away.

They wouldn’t tell your their names if you asked.

Their reasons for being there are their own.

There is honor.

There is sacrifice for one another.

There is sacrifice for greater purpose.

There is love.

There is loyalty.

There is wisdom and freedom.

There is music and art.

There is community and beauty.

Of course, dogs are important.

There are those with ears to hear.

There is also affliction.

There is Mockingbird and agent provocateurs.

The potential for violence always has to be calculated.

Sound different than your neighborhood?

For how much longer?

Being homeless was the best thing that ever happened to me.

To those I was blessed with… thank you.

To those who mock… Domo arigato.
