Hello everyone. In this opportunity I want to share with you that as a result of my mother's cataract surgery my sleep rhythm has been affected so I sleep during the day and at night I am awake. It is not easy to take care of a person who has had eye surgery and if she is older the situation is even more complicated.

En esta oportunidad quiero compartir con ustedes que a raíz de la cirugía de cataratas de mi madre mi ritmo de sueño se ha visto afectado por lo cual duermo en el día y en la noche estoy despierta. No es fácil cuidar a una persona operada de la vista y si esta es mayor se complica aún la situación.
My mother has been operated on for 10 days and since she was operated on and discharged to take her home since that day my sleep rhythm has changed. I am used to sleeping with the bedroom door closed. Which is next to my mother's room. I spent the first day at night taking care of my mother to take the sequence of the eye drops that have to be applied, although I still have this coming week to complete my mother's treatment. I have to give her analgesic because she feels a lot of discomfort in her operated eye. Last Thursday I took her for consultation, that is to say, 8 days after the operation. She was feeling much better. They had to dilate her pupil to check and the doctor to see better her operated eye that has felt worse with the dilation of the pupil, the doctor told her that it is normal. She should have a lot of rest.
Mi madre lleva 10 dias de operada y desde que fue intervenida y dada de alta para llevarla a casa desde ese día se ha cambiado mi ritmo de sueño. Estoy acostumbrada a dormir con la puerta de la habitación cerrada. La cual queda al lado de la habitación de mi madre. Estuve el primer día en horas de la noche atendiendo a mi mamá para llevar la secuencia de los colirios que se le tienen que aplicar aunque aun me falta esta semana que viene para culminar el tratamiento de mi madre. Tengo que suministrarle analgesico porque siente mucha molestia en su ojo operado. El jueves pasado la lleve a consulta es decir a los 8 dias de operada. Ella se sentía bastante mejor . Tuvieron que dilatarle la pupila para chequear y el médico ver mejor su ojo operado que se ha sentido peor con la dilatación de la pupila, el médico le dijo que es normal. Que debe tener mucho reposo.

Last night she took care of mom so I could sleep but I couldn't sleep a wink all night.
Para tratar de estar tranquila estoy tomando el té de manzanilla, me calma bastante y en el día duermo puedo descansar mientras que mi hermana se encarga de nuestra madre. Somos muy unidas y atendemos a mamá con cariño y mucho amor. A pesar que mi hermana tiene un niño pequeño que debe llevar a la escuela e irlo a buscar, entonces duermo por horas en el dia. Llego una hermana de Maturín que ahora se encargará de atender a nuestra madre en la noche mientras me recupero de mi ciclo de sueño. Anoche se encargó de mamá para que yo durmiera pero que va no pude pegar un ojo en toda la noche.

El ojo derecho debe ser operado pero esperaremos a que mamá se recupere así acordamos en familia. Y se lo notificamos al médico, ya por su edad son 84 años, aunque el oftalmólogo dijo que mamá se portó valiente, que colaboro durante la cirugía, no es fácil el proceso de recuperación para que comience a ver de forma clara.
I am happy because we have achieved cataract surgery for my mother and she will have a better quality of life. At night during my waking hours when I have not been able to get back to sleep, I read a book, play Harry Potter, Candy Crush, etc. on my cell phone. I don't dare to take psychotropics because I don't think I deserve it. Now with the help of my sister, there are three of us united to take care of mom, we will make it, the important thing is that our mother recovers. And soon I will recover my night's sleep. Thank God even if I sleep during the day, sleeping during the day feeds my brain even if I don't sleep at night. As soon as my mother recovers her vision completely in her left eye, I will gradually recover my sleep cycle.
Estoy contenta porque hemos logrado la cirugía de cataratas de mi madre y ella tendrá mejor calidad de vida. En las noche durante mi vigilia donde no he podido recuperar el sueño en las noches se me invirtió el reloj leo algún libro, juego con el celular Harry Potter, Candy Crush, etc. No me atrevo a tomar psicotrópicos porque creo que no lo amerito. Ahora con la ayuda de mi hermana, ya somos tres unidas para cuidar a mamá saldremos adelante, lo importante es que nuestra madre se recupere. Y pronto recuperaré mi sueño nocturno. Gracias a Dios aunque sea duermo en el día, el dormir en el día alimenta mi cerebro aunque no duerma de noche. En lo que mi madre recupere su visión completamente de su ojo izquierdo voy a recuperar gradualmente mi ciclo de sueño.
