Albino mushroom
Could it be that an albino variety of species that occurs in humans and animals is also found in fungi?
These specimens of the same species grew side by side. The white form of a mushroom can be forced, for example, by the lack of light, but these mushrooms grew side by side, and additionally they grew from almost the same place.
This may indicate a phenomenon known mainly in humans and animals, i.e. albinism. This is another big question mark when it comes to the place of mushrooms in nature. They are far from animals, and just as far from plants, but they display features known only to animals.
"Flamulinka" is the common name of this mushroom in Poland. This inconspicuous mushroom looks like a small fire in winter scenery, hence its name Winter Flame. But it turns out that it doesn't necessarily have to be a fiery, rusty-brown color. There is also a white variety.
The cap of this species of mushroom can be of many colors. From pale pink to orange or rusty brown, but the white variety is unique in the natural environment.
The gills are similar in color to the hat, located quite rarely. A characteristic feature of the mushroom is its stem. It is its color that helps the fungus to identify and distinguish it from similar poisonous species.
The leg can be up to 15 cm long. The color of the leg is similar to a mushroom, but the closer to the root the color of the leg becomes darker and darker, almost dark brown, almost black. This is not the case with the white variety. The albino leg is almost white along its entire length.
The flesh is white, sometimes creamy. The taste and smell of the mushroom is very pleasant, delicate and slightly mushroom.
It is a common winter arboreal mushroom, the white variety is rare. During winter walks in the forest, it is very likely that you will encounter this species of mushroom. It appears in late autumn and grows all winter. The fungus is frost resistant.
Medicinal properties of Flammulina velutipes
This is a very tasty mushroom, mainly hats because the legs are stringy. Scientific research has shown that the winter flame (Flammulina velutipes) contains substances that strengthen the immune system. The antibiotic `` flamulin '' has been isolated from this species of fungus, which helps to fight sarcoma S 180.
Enjoy 😉
