Walking through the meadows of the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland in the summer season, it is difficult to concentrate on a specific goal. Life explodes with a variety of creatures, plants and phenomena. This time I decided to take a look at a butterfly named Dostojka Malinowiec. There were quite a few of them in the clearing, so although the butterflies are quite skittish, the photo session was successful.

The insect is quite common in Europe, it can be found all summer, even in early autumn when it is warm, in meadows and forest clearings.

The wingspan of this butterfly can reach about 7 cm. The color of the butterfly varies depending on whether it is male or female. The female is more red-olive in color, while the male is red.

The name of the butterfly indicates its interests. He is a lover of wild raspberry bushes in the forest. It also often appears in home gardens where raspberries are grown.

This insect has an unusual method of reproduction, because it lays its eggs in the bark of trees. The larvae hibernate in the bark of the tree and become active in early spring.
