This time a find from June this year. I have already written about this genre, but today it is a bit different.
Mushrooms tend to absorb heavy metals, and in this case Helvella Spadicea is in the lead. Collects very large amounts of Nickel and Silver. In the east, mainly in China, it is considered a medicinal mushroom.
It may owe its healing properties to a large amount of silver, which we know is bactericidal. In ancient Greece, drinks were drunk from silver goblets, which were effective against bacteria.
The Ganges river in India. in which the corpse is basking and the concentration of coliform bacteria exceeds the norm by several hundred percent is called the river of life. It turned out that it flows through the deposits of silver ore, which effectively fight the bacteria contained in the water.
I found this specimen in Jura Krakowsko Częstochowska in June this year. It's a bit like Napoleon's hat, I made a cutout of the mushroom.
