Warmth in a cold forest - Winter Flame
In the environment of people fascinated with mushrooms, we call it "Flamulinka", but the name Płomiennica Zimowa also has a justified origin. It is a mushroom that looks like a smoldering fire in a gray winter forest, stands out from the winter surroundings, radiates a warm color, very positively.
The hat can be multi-colored, from pale pink to orange and even red. The size varies even up to 12-15 cm in diameter. The hat is smooth to the touch, slightly convex, becoming flat and even curled with age.
The gills are situated quite rarely, in terms of color similar to the cap. The leg is very distinctive and allows you to recognize the specimen by its color. It is up to 10-15 cm long and has a characteristic coloration (velvet-molar wintering). With the hat, the color of the leg is similar to a mushroom, but the closer to the root the leg becomes darker, almost dark blue, navy blue, black.
And when there is a different, still warm autumn light, I can be almost red;)
The flesh is most often white, sometimes cream. Very delicate mushroom flavor and aroma.
