Even more interesting , is the sycophantic defenders rushing in - and the ultra defensive tone adopted (as @futurethinker rightly points out).
The defensiveness only denotes fragility, not strength ....And the world really is watching (or at least the crpyto world).

When you've committed to something and you know that - deep down - you've made a mistake (if you have any intelligence).....you either a) double down and look more like an overzealous cult member, idiot OR.....b) Grow up and realize the mistake, and then learn from it.
The sooner you do this , the less of an idiot you look*.

*with the rare exception being the blood clotting, spasm inducing, chemical soup injection provided by the oh so caring pharmaceutical industry, of course - there's no going back on that monumental fuck up.
