I like your answers!
(but not because they're correct, obviously! lol)

Emotions that images evoke is a valid point (good/ bad pleasure/revulsion).

But that's not critical thinking - which was the point of the post - understanding the boundaries, between logic and emotional response - and where they lie.

If we don't know where they lie (within ourselves), we can't go forwards with integrity, as at some point , emotional response will hijack logic and reason, and you won't be aware of it.
The loss of integrity could will end up being the case.(wrapping yourself up in knots and unintentionally defending the wrong positions)
...And we don't want that !

I still disagree hehe

"integrity without emotion" is what creates laws that chop the hands off of people for stealing bread to feed their family.

it has to be a balance - and I think yours is heavily weighed to one side of the pendulum.

I feel like I am more in the middle.

Someone who would be on the opposite side of the pendulum would just simply refuse to look at your post at all and fail to see the points you were making BECAUSE you had images in there they would prefer not to see.

I read it - understood it - saw some value in the logic - but it goes too far.

It is not as simple as just saying "remove your emotion from this object" - that's not how brains work. That's how SOME people's brains work.

I find that balance is best :)

Woohoooooooo !!!!.... disagreement and we're still talking! (are we in danger of being on platform that caters to adults!lol)

You miss my point ( I'm explaining myself poorly).

It was thought exercise,in self awareness - not a statement on how to live life! lol..

...To be able understand what place you inhabit in any given moment (critical thinking v's emotionally charged).

"integrity without emotion" is an impossibility. (it's a moral judgment and ALL moral judgments must have some element of emotion in them)
...Which was my point in the thought exercise - self awareness in where you are in any given moment.

Integrity is the 'developed' - evolved model - of bringing logic, critical thought, and moral/societal codes, together.
( I seem incapable of coming up with a more polished summation while I have a three bacon sandwiches in front of me...)
