Although World Mother's Day is celebrated in ancient Greece, it was introduced in modern times by an American woman. When a woman named Anna Jarvis of the United States died in 1905, her daughter Anna Maria Reeves Jarvis sought to commemorate her mother's work. That year, she first celebrated Mother's Day at her Sun Day School. One Sunday in 1908, Anna Maria explained the importance of a day for mothers in a school speech.
On May 8, 1914, the US Congress declared the second Sunday in May to be Mother's Day. This is how the journey of Mother's Day begins. In continuation of this, besides America, Mother's Day is now being celebrated with dignity in hundreds of countries including Bangladesh, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Russia and Germany. However, due to Corona, no formality will be seen on this day. That is why no child will be stingy in collecting mother's love from house to house.
