Recently on media, I saw a lot of news about the discovery of a 129-year-old tunnel in Ayubia National Park. This British-era tunnel was built in 1891 and during tree plantation was found buried in a garbage dump. The government restored it and opened it for tourists. This tunnel is 250-feet long, 6-feet high, and 4-feet wide connecting two valleys of Ayubia.

The government has restored the area and has built a resting place and a cafe shop for tourists. Many tourists visited from different areas of Pakistan but the tunnel was closed. I was also very disappointed to see that the tunnel was closed and no one was there to entertain the tourists. This place must be opened to the public so people can enjoy the view of two mountainous valleys.
