Good day my fellow Rising Star players. Another time, another challenge to keep a game sustainable with the sell/cash ratio and this one I am not entirely sure what to do about it.
And what do you do when you have no clue? You rubberduck your thoughts (coming from the saying of when scientists were stuck they would start talking to their rubber ducky in bath, hoping because of ventilating out loud the answers would come to them), and hope that because of writing it out the answer will drift in. Or share with the world and the answers will help with the equation.
Here we go!
The issue is all about the card 'The Risen', which is almost the most valuable card in the game that will be made. The Risen isn't a card that you can get in packs, it is a card that you must blend. And blending cards takes a load of cards.
How to get there?
The start of why I am debating on getting 'The Risen', you have to get to the bottom on why this is a valuable move. It starts with the Festival World Tour
If you have been playing Rising Star over the last year, you might be familiar with the 'Festival World Tour' which is a mission that takes 1 hour and requires 1 Starpro to run the mission and receive a wristband of a certain country. Once a week the mission changes and you can get a wristband from a different country.
This went on for 52 weeks and there are 52 wristbands into play.
I have all of them and this took me a year and approximately 2 million Starbits to transfer into Starpro to get the cards
Why two million Starbits?
Because you can only acquire Starpro by either buying it on the market for Starbits. Or you play in the music promoter mission, and get your Starpro rewards a day later.
Almost every week it took me about 30.000 to 40.000 Starbits to get 1 Starpro. And that times 52 weeks, that is how you get the 2 million for all of these wristbands.
Blending Time!
Now say you would want to start to blend to get The Risen. Here you can see that you need a crapton of the Festival World Tour wristbands for one card.
When you have FTB1, FTB2, FTB3 and FTB4 (which will cost you all you wristbands from last year), you can the blend them into FBT5
And then together with a backstage pass (which also costs you 1 Starpro in the shop), only then you get FBT6 aka 'The Risen'
.
Sounds cool right? So why or why not should I do it?
One of the reasons of not blending is the reason of the daily pay out because of the amount of cards you own. Every day you get rewards for your collection. Now currently this is only 0.08 Hive for me per day, which is nothing ofcourse. But I am a collector as well, and I like the idea of having 52 unique cards. (although unique...I think this year the cards start all over again, so I could put in the additional 2 million starbits to get the starpro to get the wristbands. Are you still with me?) But or the daily rewards...nehhh
I could also sell the wristbands piece by piece for the real collectors. Cirrently most of them go for more than 40.000 starbits per piece what they did cost me back then. But...you need to sell them all, don't know if there are so many collectors out there who really want them.
Or....I could go through the blending process which will take away all my wristbands which took me a year (feel the emotional aspect here right?) but this will give me 25000 additional fans per mission, and that is like 150 starbits optional per mission more and it is a damn unique card which not a lot of people will have. Also now a wristband is like 25 fans per card and no skill which is around1000 fans extra with no skill extra.
So my people..what will it be?
Will the emotional collectors item win? Or will the getting the 25K and a super unique card win?
