Not sure where on earth this week went to – but alas Friday here we are! It has been a good week! A good start to the New Year… well perhaps not in a worldly sense lol – but for me personally at any rate. We will be kicking the weekend off with a braai this evening – what a shocker!!! Haha! I was tagged in some old photos on FB a little earlier today and it made me giggle to myself actually at how not only life in general has changed for all us with lockdown, but also at the degree to which my Fridays and weekends have gradually tamed over the years…
Goodness, I can remember “rearing to go” on a Friday afternoon, for whatever had been planned for the evening ahead – and even if there were not any plans cast in stone, there was still a certain “energy” which it held. Nowadays, I am happy to crank the tunes, pour myself some wine and water the bloody garden…. Hahahaha!!! A far cry from partying to the early hours, but equally as satisfying, if not more hehe! Things back then were how can I say… wilder! Haha!
The tag and browsing through the pics actually prompted a little bit of additional clicking down FB photo memory lane, which is always fun to do once in a while. Nostalgia and reflection! All of our lives have changed dramatically over this last year so I think it is actually a great positive reinforcement to momentarily transport ourselves to happier moments – and not necessarily even “happier” moments – but just “happy” moments… “GOOD TIMES”.
"Back in the day" my weekends actually used to start on Thursdays because myself and a group of friends had a little weekly "dinner club". Each week one of us would play host and would cook dinner for everyone else. The rest of us would chip in 50 ZAR each or something close to that. Those were truly some of the best evenings! I always did and still DO love playing host and cooking for family and friends! Excuse the crappy photos, but those were the days of crapberry, lol!
These memories were almost 10 years ago and it feels like just yesterday! It is incredible how quickly life goes by. So many different paths taken in that time by each and every one of us. Some of us are in touch - others not... but irrespective, there are the memories.
Although not quite such a large chunk of my life as yet, I hold quite a bit of the same nostalgia for all the memories I have with the people here on Hive... well, back then Steem obviously. So many good times, some not so great and others probably best left to lie, but all in all... plenty of preciousness.
Life is ever changing, continuously evolving. Some people are meant to stay and others not... but no question that each and every one plays an important role in their respective chapters and each of us in one anothers lives as a whole. Here's to creating more memories in 2021! Happy Friday beautiful people! And now... it is BRAAI TIME!!!
❤❤❤
Until next time...
Much Love from Cape Town, South Africa xxx

Good times with Friends and Family. The best of times .... we will celebrate again soon. Great post.
Yes we will!!! And thank you xxx
Hey Jaynie.
The phenomenon is starting to occur on social media: Running into old acquaintances from earlier blockchains. I've spent most of the past nine months on Voice.com. Slowly but surely, the old crew have been showing up. Indeed, @blockurator showed up earlier today.
I saw your IntroPost tweet for Blurt and thought I'd check it out.
It's good to see you still having braai's ... and still insisting they aren't barb-a-ques. :-)
My old computer experienced a sudden death and the new one cannot access my old Discord groups, including PHC. I tried to get in via GinaBot but they gave me a new Discord account. Arrrgh.
Anyway, I hope everything's going well. Say Hi to the crew for me.

Drop me a dm on discord pretty please!!!
everything is divine in those places, the parties are great and the sharing is very friendly greetings
Thank you :)
