I have seen some posts questioning the use of delegations on Blurt. Well I have been on Steemit for five and a half tears, even though I recently stopped using that platform, and I can tell you, I was always against delegating my voting power or even voting bots.
Yes, you just delegate or set up your voting bot and you get daily curation rewards without even having to visit the platform, so it really is receiving money for practically nothing and that is a great draw for most people. Of course you have to take into account that your vote might be giving more visibility to something that you are not even for.
But, always with Steemit, delegations eventually evolved into bid bots, you delegate your votes to somebody who then sells the vote to anyone and you get an even bigger return than with manual curation or a voting bot. And here the danger is evident, bid bots don't really care what they vote for as long as the vote is paid for. What happens then? The main page becomes full of evidently useless, plagiarized or even unlawful articles.
Do we want this for Blurt? I should think not, platforms like Blurt should learn from the mistakes made by the pioneers and not repeat them. So I completely agree with @doubl-u campaign, no delegations, eventually they end up being a liability, however good their initial aims are.
