I started in this Social Crypto Network world by buying an e-book in May 2016, I had some spare cash on some site and I couldn't use it, so I saw an ad for this book and I bought it. Well the book was about this new network, Steemit and how you could make money on it.
As I always do I didn't even read the book until a month later when I remembered about it, it said you could make thousands of dollars just writing, well that turned me off because writing has never been my forte so I forgot about it again. Then in August I said what the heck, it's free I will try it out. So I requested membership and on the 6th of August 2016 I became a member.
For the first few months I did very little, those thousands of dollars really didn't seem possible at all but for some reason I persevered. And I can't complain, over the years I have cashed out a few thousand dollars, nothing like I was getting rich but that money sure helped out. Then the Justin Sun element came into the system and Steemit split in two, now we also had Hive.
Well I stayed with Steemit, sold most of the hive I was airdropped and never worked there much. But now Steemit has changed rules, to make any money you have to power up 50% of your liquid payment, now this comes out like this, my article earns $1.00, curators take $0.50, $0.25 is automatically powered up so that leaves me with $0.25 SBD (Steem Backed Dollars) which are worth right now about $6.00. So I actually get $1.50 of which I have to power up half.
I have never liked it when somebody tells me I have to do something so I quit Steemit and am powering down all I have there, it is not much but I am not leaving it there. So I decided to try Hive, I posted a few articles and then they told me I had to make a video and upload it in order to identify myself. I am not doing that, like I said I don't like being told what I have to do.
So that leaves me with Blurt and Publish0x. Are there any other good Crypto Social Networks out there? I do like the concept and there is always the possibility of one of these coins breaking out, and all I have to do is write.
Blurt is the Best. I earned almost $40,000 here in one year. Sharing my Original Photography and Artwork. I buy a little on the dips, but also sold some to buy a car this summer. Blurt is headed much higher imho.
Yes Blurt is good, unfortunately I have not been as active as I should have been, will try to fix that from now on.
Yeah… that’s the best part of crypto blogging… you can always start today, for free. I blogged for 25 years earning pennies with Adsense and other useless Affiliate programs.
