With 51% of votes counted.

Elections were held yesterday in this country and apparently the winner is Xiomara Castro, who would become the first female president of this country. It is not official yet, but I am posting a screen shot of results when 51% of the vote had been counted and she was leading with 53% of the vote, her closest rival had 34%, so I think it is settled.

Now in this country there is no guarantee, some strange things can happen and the party in office right now is known for shenanigans, but the difference is huge I think things will not change.

In any case we do need a change, 12 years with the same people in charge is enough, we need new faces, apart that these guys are leaving the country in a very bad shape, they have been awful administrators. We shall see what the future brings.

As an aside Messi won the Balon d'Or again, what is wrong with these people? Last year Messi did absolutely nothing that was worthy of this, Barcelona was mediocre, yes he won the Copa America but was not even Argentina's best player. Nothing against Messi but a 33 year old guy with waning talent is not really a match for other way better performers, I can think of Mbappe, Kante, Lewandowski, De Bruyne, and a few more.
