Podría decirse que el primer encuentro que tuve con el mundo de los tatuajes fue gracias al programa de televisión llamado Ink Master que transmiten a través del canal truTV, lo veía en cada oportunidad que podía y así me fui empapando de las técnicas, estilos, máquinas y personalidades dentro del ambiente. Para mí, fue una revelación porque esto no es percibido de la misma manera alrededor del mundo por cuestiones culturales, aquí en mi país aunque menos que en años anteriores sigue manejándose mucho ese estigma de considerar a la personas con tatuajes con criminales mientras que en Estados Unidos resulta más normal. Tener la posibilidad de ver las hermosas creaciones que los diversos artistas creaban en cada episodio me hizo enamorarme de los tatuajes.

It could be said that the first encounter I had with the world of tattoos was thanks to the television program called Ink Master that they transmit through the truTV channel, I watched it every chance I could and so I was soaking up the techniques, styles, machines and personalities within the environment. For me, it was a revelation because this is not perceived in the same way around the world for cultural reasons, here in my country, although less than in previous years, the stigma of considering people with tattoos as criminals is still very common, while in the United States it is more normal. Having the chance to see the beautiful creations that the different artists created in each episode made me fall in love with tattoos.
Me gustan a tal punto de pensar en hacerme muchos, pero no me ha atrevido porque para mí es muy importante realizármelos con tatuadores que sean muy buenos en lo que hacen de manera que no termine por arrepentirme puesto que con un mal tatuaje vienen consecuencias. Tengo amigos que se han hecho tatuajes con unos supuestos tatuadores que desde un principio se notaba que no eran consistentes con cada resultado, algunos de esos que habían realizado tenían líneas temblorosas, mal diseño, y no habían aplicado correctamente el color… a los días el color del tatuaje de uno de mis amigos se había ido pero no como se supone que es normal, un tatuaje siempre perderá algo del color después de un tiempo pero tampoco tanto tan pronto, por lo que tuvo que ir de nuevo con el tatuador para que le hiciera un retoque.

I have friends that have had tattoos done with supposed tattoo artists that from the beginning I could tell they were not consistent with each result, some of those they had done had shaky lines, bad design, and they had not applied the color correctly... a few days later the color of the tattoo of one of my friends had gone but not as it is supposed to be normal, a tattoo will always lose some color after a while but not so much so soon, so he had to go back to the tattoo artist for a touch up.
En mi país cualquier dice ser tatuador profesional, con pocas referencias confiables que los respalde, muchos ofreciendo espacios sin las medidas de salubridad necesarias para que sean realizados de forma segura. Por esto es que quisiera esperar a encontrar a una persona que verdaderamente sepa qué está haciendo y ofrezca la suficiente confianza como para asegurarme de que lo que quiero va a quedar tal cual me gustaría, aunque los diseños que me gustaría hacerme no son lo más complicados, es muy fina la línea entre que queden excelente a que queden mal porque una mala línea a decir verdad hace la diferencia. A mí me encantan los tatuajes con frases, cuando haces una letra mal que la línea queda temblorosa se nota a simple vista y es algo que me haría miserable, por ello, mejor esperar un poco.
In my country anyone claims to be a professional tattoo artist, with few reliable references to back them up, many offering spaces without the necessary health measures to be performed safely. This is why I would like to wait to find a person who really knows what he is doing and offers enough confidence to make sure that what I want is going to be as I would like, although the designs I would like to do are not the most complicated, it is very fine line between being excellent and being bad because a bad line makes the difference. I love tattoos with phrases, when you make a bad letter that the line is shaky you can see at a glance and it is something that would make me miserable, therefore, better to wait a little.
Los tatuadores que son decentes cobran una barbaridad por su mano de obra, sin ánimos de ofender a nadie pues están en su derecho de cobrar aquello que crean merecer a cambio de un trabajo notable, pero como se escapa de lo que quiero dar en estos momentos por mis tatuajes pues tendrá que esperar aún más todavía. De no ser por estos importantes detalles ya me encontraría tatuada por todos lados ya que soy del estilo de muchos tatuajes pequeños y medianos en tamaño en un mismo estilo, nada de color porque considero que en mi color de piel se vería mejor negro y gris, y a mí me gusta la uniformidad. Respecto de la discriminación que se sufre acá cuando los tienes, no me presiona demasiado porque al final del día esto es algo que me gustaría hacer con mi piel y aquellos que piensan que tenerlos te hace una mala persona están mal.
The tattoo artists that are decent charge a lot for their labor, without offending anyone because they are in their right to charge what they think they deserve in exchange for a remarkable work, but as it is beyond what I want to give right now for my tattoos, I will have to wait even more. If it weren't for these important details I would already be tattooed all over the place since I am the style of many small and medium size tattoos in the same style, no color because I consider that in my skin color it would look better black and gray, and I like uniformity. Regarding the discrimination suffered here when you have them, it doesn't put too much pressure on me because at the end of the day this is something I would like to do with my skin and those who think that having them makes you a bad person are wrong.
Los tatuajes son arte y una manera de expresión, una decisión muy personal que no tiene por qué significar algo negativo, si es cierto que hay muchos delincuentes que los usan, también hay una gran porción que no tiene ninguno, por esto no debería usarse como referencia para determinar los niveles de criminalidad. Estamos las nuevas generaciones cambiando la perspectiva respecto a los tatuajes siempre que a medida que pasa el tiempo y más jóvenes se tatúan, estos comenzarán a formar parte del nuevo grupo de profesionales con tatuajes que demostrarán que no tiene nada de malo y se dejen atrás estos estigmas. A menudo los padres les dicen a sus hijos que nadie les va a dar empleo si tienen tatuajes porque está mal visto dentro del mundo laboral… ¿cómo no los van a contratar si hasta los jefes tienen? ¡Dominación del mundo!
Tattoos are art and a way of expression, a very personal decision that does not have to mean something negative, if it is true that there are many criminals who use them, there is also a large portion that does not have any, so it should not be used as a reference to determine the levels of criminality. We are the new generations changing the perspective regarding tattoos provided that as time passes and more young people are tattooed, these will begin to be part of the new group of professionals with tattoos that will show that there is nothing wrong with it and leave behind these stigmas. Often parents tell their children that no one will employ them if they have tattoos because it is frowned upon in the working world... how can they not be hired if even the bosses have them? World domination!
