Catarsis Doméstica
En este día quiero hacer un poco de catarsis, han sido unos días complicados y estresantes, no a nivel físico sino más que todo emocional. Pero para poder contarles en que han estado concentradas mis fuerzas y mi atención en estos últimos días debo contarles todo el preludio de la situación actual, y aunque no sea un “mal de morir” como dicen en mi tierra, es algo que te puede causar estrés.
Hace como 2 años, comenzó a presentarse un problema con las aguas negras en la zona donde vivo, se hizo una especie de colecta comunitaria y se recogió el dinero para reparar la avería. Pero, como estás casas tienen más de 65 años de haberse construido, en general todas las tuberías están súper desgastadas y es obvio que eventualmente se presentaría de nuevo un problema similar.
Resulta que hace unos meses atrás las tuberías volvieron a colapsar, un vecino sustituye los tubos de aguas negras que pasan por la mitad de la calle frente a su casa, pero, no fue suficiente y debían ser sustituidos más tubos, por lo que se convoca una reunión entre vecinos para hablar del presupuesto necesario y como haríamos para solventar el problema entre todos. Llegóse a un acuerdo y se necesitaría un aporte de 50$ USD por casa.
Juntado un 50% del dinero se comienza el trabajo, se tardó más de lo esperado porque muchos vecinos tardaron en pagar, y algunos no lo hicieron por completo y todo poner un poco más entre otros.
Ahora bien, esto es el preámbulo de la situación actual. Resulta que haciendo el cambio del tubo principal de aguas negras, nos percatamos que la casa donde vivo y la de al lado, tenían un problema compartído en sus conexiones al tubo principal, así que, tuvimos que pedir un presupuesto y unir fuerzas para solventarlo juntos. Ya casi solucionado ese problema, surgió otro, el tubo que sale de la casa a dónde vivo hacia el desagüe compartido con la casa de al lado también estaba roto, y todo se estaba drenando fuera del tubo. Haciendo literalmente un pozo séptico.

Se contrataron a otros albañiles para resolver ese problema, y resultó peor el remedio que la enfermedad. Porque, aunque destaparon el tubo viejo, y lo cambiaron por un tubo nuevo, solucionando el problema. Por querer actuar con rapidez, taparon la zanja con tierra mojada, y aunque les advertí que eso iba a hundirse, y ellos me dijeron que no, no habían pasado más de 12 horas cuando ya se había hundido todo el concreto que colocaron.
Ahora estoy esperando que regresen a solucionarlo, porque como dicen en mi tierra: "quisieron hacer una gracia y les salió una morisqueta"... Pero, eso no es todo, solucionando este último problema descubrimos un bote de aguas blancas en la entrada de agua a la casa. Y eso es verdaderamente preocupante.
El otro inconveniente que tengo a causa de todo esto, es que en casa estamos por terminar de reparar el motor del automóvil y tengo semejante zanja frente al garaje de la casa. Realmente han sido días de mucho estrés, y tanto que últimamente me ha dado mucha acidez estomacal y eso no es nada habitual en mi…

He escrito esto con la intención de drenar un poco y soltar la tensión acumulada porque obviamente han sido días de mucho gasto. Si llegaste hasta aquí, gracias por leer y por tu tiempo. Espero resolver lo del bote de aguas blancas y que ya no surja otra cosa en un buen rato.

Domestic Catharsis
On this day I want to do a little catharsis, it has been a complicated and stressful few days, not physically but mostly emotionally. But in order to be able to tell you how my strength and attention have been concentrated in these last days, I must tell you the whole prelude of the current situation, and although it is not a "dying disease" as they say in my country, it is something that can cause you stress.

About 2 years ago, a problem with sewage began to occur in the area where I live, a kind of community collection was made and the money was collected to repair the damage. But, as these houses are more than 65 years old, in general all the pipes are super worn out and it is obvious that eventually a similar problem would occur again.
It turns out that a few months ago the pipes collapsed again, a neighbor replaced the sewage pipes that pass through the middle of the street in front of his house, but it was not enough and more pipes had to be replaced, so a meeting was called between neighbors to discuss the necessary budget and how we would do to solve the problem together. An agreement was reached and a contribution of 50$ USD per house would be needed.
It took longer than expected because many neighbors were slow to pay, and some did not pay in full and all put a little more between others.
Now this is the preamble to the current situation. It turns out that while changing the main sewage pipe, we realized that the house where I live and the one next door, had a shared problem in their connections to the main pipe, so we had to ask for a budget and join forces to solve it together. Once that problem was almost solved, another one came up, the pipe that goes from the house where I live to the drainage shared with the house next door was also broken, and everything was draining out of the pipe. Literally making a septic tank.

Other masons were hired to solve the problem, and the cure turned out to be worse than the disease. Because, although they unclogged the old pipe, and replaced it with a new pipe, solving the problem. Because they wanted to act quickly, they covered the trench with wet soil, and although I warned them that it was going to sink, and they told me that it was not, not more than 12 hours had passed when all the concrete they had placed had already sunk.
Now I am waiting for them to come back to fix it, because as they say in my country: "they wanted to make a joke and they got a morisqueta".... But, that's not all, while solving this last problem we discovered a white water canister at the water inlet of the house. And that is really worrying.
The other inconvenience I have because of all this, is that at home we are about to finish repairing the engine of the car and I have such a ditch in front of the garage of the house. It has been really stressful days, so much so that lately I have had a lot of heartburn and that is not usual for me....

I've written this with the intention of draining a little and releasing the accumulated tension because obviously it's been days of a lot of spending.
