Today I sit back and relax on my day off after working a long weekend, Life has changed so much from when I was a young boy to now, I have become responsible and care and priority goes to my family.
Due to working shifts at the hotel I sometimes come home when my kids are asleep and sometimes leave before they wake up so when I do get some day off then I spend it all with my boys. They also look forward to spending that time with me and I think it makes them appreciate their father even more.
My wife and I have good understanding on how we raise our kids, we don't want same life as us, we want them to have education which is very important and do good at it so that they can make something for themselves and their future family.
I one day want to look back at my family and be proud that all the hard work and hours I spend at work was not for nothing and that lives have changed from where we started you know?
I think my parents were proud of me because although in modern lives I am only hotel manager but to my parents I made it from leaving the village with not so many resources and changing my life, partially true to the fact that I practice good english from a young age, I enjoyed reading books and when I went to an interview in the hotel they accepted me same time as I could speak the same language as our guests and I started to get better and better as years progressed.
I am still a reader and read at any given spare time at work, I sometimes take a lunch break to break away from work and read a book so that I shut my mind off and have a break from the stresses of being at work.
I hope to share my experiences with you guys and hope that I can gain something positive from this community .
