We had the problem with Al Gore when he was declared the winner and the Supreme court countered with Bush being president 37 days later. That was in 2000

I hope that will not be the case now. I understand that in the popular vote there is a difference of a few million in favor of Biden, that should matter ... or the American electoral system is outdated.
In 2000, George Bush won, and it was the fourth of five presidential elections in which the winning candidate lost the popular vote.
We are so antiquated.
