I live in Cali - family lives in Florida...
I am SO unbelievably thankful to live in a certain county that is not militant with masks. We are only one of the few - but I TREASURE the freedom I have here to make my own choice.
Incidentally - I got covid twice. Once Feb 2020 (original strain). and just recently Sept 2021 (delta) It was TERRIBLE. Got it this last time when I visited Florida (my parents had it and didn't know - and passed it to me)
It was TRULY terrible. I was sick beyond belief for 2 weeks. hallucinations, sleeping for 20 hours, fever for 12 days, senses affected, mind affected... wow. My doctor prescribed ivermectin and hydrochloroquine and I started healing within 36 hours.
I know how terrible it can be.... so I'm not at all dismissing the severity of it.
however.. friends of mine just got a "cold".
their doctor called it a "pandemic cold" which the DOCTOR attributed to suppressing the immune system for 18 months with masks and distancing. NOW they (doctors - mind you) are saying "oooooh yea. this is a bad one. we need to get ready for this"
When they got sick (the wife is STILL sick after 3 weeks. my covid lasted 2) they got ALL the same symptoms. As a matter of fact, I was SO sure that they had covid - based on their symptoms. They got tested (all of them) negative.
But - if this cold is just as bad as covid....
and even lasting longer.....
ahem
Am i the crazy one here??? I must be.
Crazy times we live in.
I have people constantly reminding me that I may be dead soon. I've not had the flu or a bad cold since college. I've been healthy every winter season despite never getting a flu shot. I've been taking vitamins and various holistic therapies and have never even purchased aspirin. When the vaccine rolled out, I already knew that I trust how I take care of my body to not want anything to do with it. But the mandates is the challenge and being separated from everyone by it.
Its crazy that we're living through a deadly pandemic and yet I see people go on vacations and parties. I'm the crazy one because I really don't believe I'm going to die any time soon.
I hope this crazy comes to an end soon.
Have a happy thanksgiving.
