One of the best gifts
One of my friends grows his own cannabis and he surprised me with a gift yesterday. There really isn't much better than getting a free ounce or so of weed. He told me that he has way too much and there was no way that he was going to be able to use it all and that a lot of the stuff he has right now is just for learning how to grow it better.
I don't remember the exact strain that this bud is, but he told me that it is an indica dominate hybrid. He told me that he has 11 different types of seeds that he is going to be trying out next now that this plant was harvested.
For a lot of people, marijuana is a way for them to get high and just chill, or a way to deal with some different medical issues that they have going on. I fall into the second category and use it medicinally. It has helped me to be able to get off most of the medication that the VA has prescribed me. Those medications were shutting down my liver and kidneys and were essentially killing me slowly. Now I don't have to worry about the side effects from those medicines because I have many different strains of marijuana that help out with all sorts of things.
I have never slept better than I do now that I have started using cannabis. I used to get just a couple hours a night and would be waking up constantly, but now I am getting a lot more quality sleep and feel much better each day. When I crashed my OneWheel and tore ligaments in my knee, the doctors gave me some opioid prescriptions that I never filled because I do not like the thought of taking opioids and getting addicted to them. The only medication that I had used for my injury was marijuana.
I truly believe that marijuana has so many amazing benefits to it and I wish that it was more accessible to people all over the world. I am glad that I live in a state where I was able to get my medical card so that I could use it legally and get its medical benefits.
I haven't tried this new strain that my friend gave me, but I will be testing it out tonight and comparing his homegrown against the medical strains that I normally get. It will be interesting to see how much of a difference there is.
