A lot of people spend a lot of time complaining about this, that and the other... and I am certainly not claiming that I am somehow exempt from that!
Sometimes, however, I do find myself wondering about the reality of someone claiming to be upset because "things" have changed.
Have they, really?
As often as not, it seems like what actually changes is people, and their perception of the world. We have an experience of some kind, process what happened... and when something similar arises some time later, WE are what has changed in the equation... and the "event" or "situation" we are prone to complaining about is essentially unchanged.
Maybe what happens is that a lot of folks find it difficult to be personally accountable for their responses and reactions... and so it is easier to pin the blame on an external "they" or "things" than to simply embrace that we changed, as a result of our experience.
I guess it's just part of human nature to "look for something/someone to blame" rather than just try to figure things out.
