Jenghis Khan a Military Prodigy
Jenghis Khan, the conqueror of the east from 1206-1227, formerly and informally known of as Termujin. This military genius made war like art, the first Khagan of the Mongol Empire and the owner of the biggest known empire in the world as of his time. Born near lake Baikal, his tumultuous growth and rough childhood shaped him to be one of the few emperors who held sway over his empire in a firm grip till his death.
His Art
The great Jenghis Khan performed a lot of military experts that has wowed various top generals of war today. The Mongol Empire was a scattered empire before his conquest, he conquered and unified the neighbouring clans forming a strong unified empire in Asia. His largest being the conquest of the Kwarazmian empire ruled by the Shah Muhammad II, he sent a dispatch to the enemy border, the enemy not knowing if that was the main army or just a diversion, in his indecision, he sent his entire army against the dispatch, this dispatch under one of Jenghis' veteran generals held their ground impressively, while the main army circled round to the back of the Kwarazmian empire, waiting for a 'leak'. It was a traitor who opened the gates for the Mongolian army who slaughtered everyone who bare arms.
His Legacy
Genghis Khan is an epitome of hard will and military genius. Many writers of character and war eg Art of War by Sun Tzu and 55 strategies of Was by To wet Green make reference to him. Most of his methods have also been mimicked by soldiers of different levels proving his never aging methods are as a result of his mental power.
