Crypto Life Was Hard Today With My Exchange KYC Request

Today was such an incredibly frustrating day! Which started as a simple E-Mail request from one of my many Crypto Exchange accounts to update my profile. What I thought would be so simple, very quickly turned into an admin nightmare. When they say Profile, what they really mean: "Is they want KYC" (as almost all of the exchanges seem to want now).

So I thought Okay, I will go grab my Passport and upload a photo of that. Except after doing that they said: "Your Passport has expired"! You need other ID ~ Again, simple to do! I will go get my Driving License and use that form of ID instead. OMG! Unbelievable ! That expired two years ago!

So now what? I spoke to a Customer Support guy who told me I would have to update my Passport to enable me to transfer my funds. My account is now LOCKED! My funds are effectively frozen!

I had no choice now, but to go on-line to the UK Passport Office and try to renew my expired Passport. The application form itself is very simple (just a few easy questions). However, the "Photo Part" is so hard to get perfect! There must be no shadows on the face or background. The lighting must be even, and not too dark. I must of taken at least 20 photos before just one was acceptable to submit on my application form.

I will send them my old Passport tomorrow in the post, and just have to wait for the new Passport to be sent to me. So annoying all this KYC stuff surrounding all the Crypto Exchanges nowadays!
