It was another Monday morning Mark couldn't get out of bed, even after snoozing multiple alarms he had set the previous night. There was his Mom, walking swiftly, full of rage to pound on Mark's door, again. "Mark", his Mom yelled, "Get the hell out of bed, lest you go late to school again."
Mark was a 14 year old Male with no siblings and a single Mom. He was quite taller than could be assumed for his age, fair and well built, a handsome kid who kept all the little girls in his school staring almost all the time. Mark was intelligent and smart, but... was a coward.
Quit wondering why such amazing descriptions of a boy would end with being accused of cowardice. Mark was a coward because his Mom made him into one.
It is important and considered as an imperative duty of a Mother to take on the training of her child, and especially to make sure their child has a comfortable and healthy life required for adequate growth, but in the case of Mark, Mom never realized when it was right to fail.
Did Mom have to help Mark with his bath and putting on the socks? Oh yes, that could not have been neglected at early childhood. But, did Mom have to help Mark with his bath and putting on the socks at 8yrs old? I'm sorry Mom, that is only a bad state of affairs.
The sufferings of life is an adventure to success, Moms must let us out of our sedations to comfort and let the DIY play out. Mom, you must teach us the difficulty to maturity. You must crucify yourself and see your child go. That is the bravery of a Mother.
Mom had to let Mark take careful risks to learn, just as she had to risk hearing her baby's cry when she thought it very necessary to stop breastfeeding him at age 2.
Oh how sad, Mark at 14 doesn't know to operate a vacuum cleaner, he doesn't recognize waking up on time is an achievement that prepares you for more tasks ahead of the day. Mom, you made Mark into an old infant. Mom, you forgot you had a tremendous duty to fail (that better antidote to the sufferings of life).

It's not easy training up a child, especially single mothers most times they get to transfer agression of their lost love from their husband to the poor innocent child.
Guiding a child against danger and evil is a natural portrait of a mother, as is seen sometimes in the images shown of the virgin Mary holding the child Jesus in her arms while treading on the serpent. But, a mother must sometimes tell her child if you go out there you "might" lose your life, but if you stay here, if you stay comfortable, if you refuse to take careful risks in life, you will definitely lose your soul.
