Climate change which is seen to pose a threat towards the biodiversity hotspots, which are special regarded regions rich in unique species and as much in their ecosystems, and hence when the global temperatures rise, it is found that these areas altered weather patterns, which increase the frequency of extreme droughts and also the floods.
Therefore such changes significantly disrupt the delicate balance over the ecosystems which forces species to take-off and migrate while adapting, or face extinction and for many species within their hotspots, especially those with limited ranges and with the rapid pace of climate change outstrips their ability to adapt, hence all this has leads to a decline in biodiversity, with some species disappearing before they can be adequately studied or protected.
Therefore the loss of biodiversity within these hotspots also undermines ecosystem services which are necessary for human well-being, such as clean water, and climate regulation and by protecting these areas is necessary for preserving global biodiversity which has to do with maintaining ecological resilience in the face of climate change as much.
