Today we had guests from the US. Though they were from states they all were from different origins. There was my father's cousin, who is an Indian, and his wife was a Phalastiniyon accompanied by two teammates, one was Iraqi and the other one was Egyptian. The only common thing among us was we all were Muslims.
They visited us earlier in 2021 and they loved our homemade food, especially Harees. Since then he has been a fan of my mother's cooking. He wrote to my dad saying I am visiting India again with my team and family and want to eat the best Harees of the world which was cooked by your wife. So we had to serve him. They were here just for a couple of days and it was a Sunday today so we thought it would be convenient for us if we invited them today.
This time, we served them Harees and Shami kabab with roti as starters, biryani, mirchi ka salan, raita, and salad as a main course, and lastly double ka mitha in the desert. Though I did not make it by myself but had put in a lot of effort in the preparation and arrangements. I am glad that they just loved the food and cherished it to the fullest.
