If your work requires you to think what to write about, you needed a conducive place to be productive and help you with what you will write about like what I am doing every day in and day out.

When it is hot I would pause what I am doing and rest for a while. Sleeping is my way of trying to pass the time when it is really uncomfortable due to the heat and humidity. It is because if you try to work within a hot environment, your body will suffer because it will soon make the reaction which is called a "heat stroke" and might overwhelm your body's system which can cause death. That is why people do not want to be under the sun here in my country during the hot and dry season particularly now that the A/C system are readily available for almost anyone with a budget for paying large electric bills can make use of them to cool down or avoid the punishing heat.

Cuando hace calor dejo lo que estoy haciendo y descanso un rato. Dormir es mi manera de pasar el tiempo cuando el calor y la humedad son realmente incómodos. Si intentas trabajar en un ambiente caluroso, tu cuerpo sufrirá porque pronto reaccionará con un "golpe de calor" que puede sobrecargar tu sistema inmunitario y causarte la muerte. Por eso, aquí en mi país, la gente no quiere estar bajo el sol durante la estación seca y calurosa, sobre todo ahora que los sistemas de aire acondicionado están al alcance de casi todo el mundo con un presupuesto para pagar grandes facturas de electricidad.

It started when I had my first writing venture from a now long gone social media blogging site, so I took advantage of my insomnia. I worked all through the night and trying to crash my body away until I can sleep later at day break. Sleeping until it is late afternoon and doing it all over again.

Comenzó cuando tuve mi primera aventura de escritura de un sitio de blogs de medios sociales ahora desaparecido hace mucho tiempo, así que aproveché mi insomnio. But for me I will have to feel the wrath of the Sun for as long as I will not get a sunburn. As I had said many times over, I needed a hot environment to help me detoxify my body through perspiration. It is because that I am a dialysis patient and I need many ways to let out some extra water and toxins from my body. I already had spent most of my stay here on earth being a dialysis patient and I miss it already on how to feel normal again. There is a bigger chance that I will just die in this condition rather than achieving my original goals which is to get a new Kidney.

Pero en mi caso tendré que sentir la ira del Sol mientras no me queme. Como he dicho muchas veces, necesito un ambiente caluroso que me ayude a desintoxicar mi cuerpo mediante la transpiración. Soy paciente de diálisis y necesito muchas formas de eliminar el exceso de agua y toxinas de mi cuerpo. Ya he pasado la mayor parte de mi estancia aquí en la tierra como paciente de diálisis y ya echo de menos volver a sentirme normal. Hay más posibilidades de que me muera en este estado que de que consiga mis objetivos iniciales, que es conseguir un nuevo riñón.

If I would choose really, I do not want the heat from the mighty Sun. It makes me feel like the rest of you, the discomfort that it surely brings to make people search for cooler places to hide themselves from heat. But my health needs it, because of the benefits that I get from it, and because of that I can't really hide from it or run.

Si tuviera que elegir de verdad, no quiero el calor del poderoso Sol. Me hace sentir como al resto de ustedes, la incomodidad que seguramente trae para que la gente busque lugares más frescos para esconderse del calor. Pero mi salud lo necesita, por los beneficios que obtengo de él, y por eso realmente no puedo esconderme de él ni huir.

Everybody in my family had given-up on supporting me with that special dream of mine, a dream that will make me feel like I am born again like what my co-patient told me when she got her Kidney transplant. I really envied her because of that and because she has a very supportive family. For my family, one major reason that they cannot help is that they are financially helpless to help me out. My father still has no clue on what I am going through and wants me to fix this house rather than to fix my health issues first. So too bad that I am thinking now that it is too late for me to rehabilitate my body or at least make me feel normal again.

Todos en mi familia habían renunciado a apoyarme con ese sueño mío tan especial, un sueño que me haría sentir como si hubiera vuelto a nacer, como me dijo mi co-paciente cuando le hicieron el trasplante de riñón. La envidiaba mucho por eso y porque tiene una familia que la apoya mucho. En cuanto a mi familia, una de las principales razones por las que no pueden ayudarme es porque no tienen medios económicos para hacerlo. Mi padre todavía no tiene ni idea de por lo que estoy pasando y quiere que arregle esta casa en lugar de arreglar primero mis problemas de salud. Es una lástima que ahora piense que es demasiado tarde para rehabilitar mi cuerpo o al menos para volver a sentirme normal.

But anyway, it is not so good to work at anything if it is hot. That is why I am choosing the early morning or even deep in the night to do what I am having fun of doing all the time but to write, write, and write. During these times where even a mouse is sleeping and not every one else is moving and it is all a silent night but with an occasional vehicle breaking the silence. It is my preferred to to do my hobby/work. This type of work needs a lot of concentration so I just needed some silence, as well as a more comfortable temperature. During the hot months of the year it is quite comfortable at night time because the temperature would drop. However you needed to use an electric fan because otherwise you will drizzle in sweat.

Pero de todos modos, no es bueno trabajar en nada si hace calor. Por eso elijo la madrugada o incluso la noche profunda para hacer lo que me divierte hacer todo el tiempo: escribir, escribir y escribir. There is a reason why they want you to keep silence in the library, to make it better for everybody when they reading, it is the same for doing for some writing, we need silence and then a comfortable surroundings.

Electric fans have a dual or even multiple purpose in my particular country. I am talking about those regular electric fans that uses a 220V electrical power. The wind it produces can also kill mosquitoes which is needed here in my country where mosquitoes will eat you while you are sleeping at night time. It is also used for mainly making us comfortable when we sit around, eat, and sleep because otherwise it will be tough to live our daily lives because it is hot in the most part of the year where even tit is raining or cooler, we still needed to use electric fans.

En mi país, los ventiladores eléctricos tienen una doble o incluso múltiple función. Me refiero a los ventiladores eléctricos normales que utilizan 220 V de corriente eléctrica. El viento que produce también puede matar mosquitos, lo que es necesario aquí en mi país, donde los mosquitos te comen mientras duermes por la noche. También se utiliza principalmente para hacernos sentir cómodos cuando nos sentamos, comemos y dormimos, porque de lo contrario sería difícil vivir nuestra vida cotidiana, ya que hace calor en la mayor parte del año, incluso cuando llueve o hace más frío.

Electric fans are an indispensable part of many households here in my country or possibly around the world and it had made a lot of lives comfortable even without the use of an A/C during the time of needing it most arises.

Los ventiladores eléctricos son una parte indispensable de muchos hogares aquí en mi país o posiblemente en todo el mundo y han hecho que muchas vidas sean confortables incluso sin el uso de un aire acondicionado durante el momento en que más se necesita.

In conclusion, laziness is not because of the people but the weather. It is true that the hot temperatures is not conducive for working and because of this the productivity is affected. That is why the A/C was invented because it is a way for the factory owners to make their workers more productive if they are working in pace with a better climate because truly, the heat just saps your energy. However, if your job or work requires you to work outside where the sun is wrecking havoc especially in the hot and dry season, you have no choice but to cope because otherwise you will be able to bring some money home for your basic needs.

En conclusión, la pereza no se debe a las personas, sino al clima. Es cierto que las temperaturas cálidas no son propicias para el trabajo y por ello la productividad se ve afectada. Por eso se inventó el aire acondicionado, porque es una forma de que los dueños de las fábricas hagan que sus trabajadores sean más productivos si trabajan a un ritmo con un clima mejor, porque realmente el calor no hace más que mermar tu energía. Sin embargo, si tu trabajo te obliga a trabajar en el exterior, donde el sol causa estragos especialmente en la estación seca y calurosa, no te queda más remedio que arreglártelas porque, de lo contrario, podrás llevar algo de dinero a casa para cubrir tus necesidades básicas.

I don't know why all people prefer working during daytime while the night is long and it should also be used a better option just to make our days more fruitful because our time is just limited, we do not want to use all of it by just sleeping.

No sé por qué toda la gente prefiere trabajar durante el día mientras que la noche es larga y también debería utilizarse una mejor opción sólo para hacer nuestros días más fructíferos porque nuestro tiempo es simplemente limitado, no queremos utilizarlo todo durmiendo simplemente.

My country's national hero had written an essay in response to some conqueror Spaniards that Filipinos are sluggish. Dr. Jose Rizal wrote “The Indolence of the Filipino” near the end of 1800's which was published in "La Solidaridad". From that essay, he stated that “Indolence in the Philippines is a chronic malady, but not a hereditary one. The Filipinos have not always been what they are.” This was his response to several Spaniards who claimed that Filipinos were lazy but the real reason is just about the hot and humid weather considering that there are no electric fans and A/Cs during that period in my country's history.

Even my country's national hero explains why my countrymen are "Lazy" which is a general term because of living in a hot and humid environment that causes work quality to get affected.
