In the last meditation, we gathered that believers are not aliens to storms. We found consolation in the fact that God has us covered whenever the weather seems contrary. Let us provide our responsibility in this matter. Our text narrates the storm which assailed as Jesus and his disciples were crossing over to the country of the Gadarenes. This immediately suggests that storms are no respecter of persons. The storm was contrary to them, so much so that the disciples thought they would not make it alive to the other side.
The first lesson we will like to draw is that storms of life may not be unconnected to the assignment of our lives. It was on their way to fulfilling the mandate of heaven that the storm arose. Many times the challenges of life are not really about us; they are about the mission of God and the mandate we are given to execute.
In panic, the disciples woke Jesu up who came to rescue as he silenced the storms by spoken words. Then he had time to rebuke them for their lack of faith. This brings us to our central lesson for today. God does not expect us to adopt "sit and look" approach to the storms of life. It is evident that Jesus expected the disciples to do something about the raging storms. He probably expected them to exercise authority over the storms as he eventually did. Panic is one strategy of the devil. When believers panic, they forget their authority in Christ. You are to speak to the wind of life. Learn to rise to the occasion and never allow yourself to be boxed into corner by the issues of life.

En la última meditación, recogimos que los creyentes no son ajenos a las tormentas. Encontramos consuelo en el hecho de que Dios nos tiene cubiertos cada vez que el clima parece contrario. Aportemos nuestra responsabilidad en este asunto. Nuestro texto narra la tormenta que azotó cuando Jesús y sus discípulos cruzaban hacia el país de los gadarenos. Esto sugiere inmediatamente que las tormentas no hacen acepción de personas. La tormenta les era contraria, tanto que los discípulos pensaron que no llegarían vivos al otro lado.
La primera lección que nos gustaría sacar es que las tormentas de la vida pueden no estar desconectadas de la asignación de nuestras vidas. Fue en su camino a cumplir el mandato del cielo que se levantó la tormenta. Muchas veces los desafíos de la vida no se tratan realmente de nosotros; tienen que ver con la misión de Dios y el mandato que se nos ha dado para ejecutar.
En pánico, los discípulos despertaron a Jesús, quien vino a rescatar mientras silenciaba las tormentas con palabras habladas. Entonces tuvo tiempo de reprenderlos por su falta de fe. Esto nos lleva a nuestra lección central de hoy. Dios no espera que adoptemos un enfoque de "sentarnos y mirar" a las tormentas de la vida. Es evidente que Jesús esperaba que los discípulos hicieran algo con respecto a las tormentas furiosas. Probablemente esperaba que ejercieran autoridad sobre las tormentas como finalmente lo hizo. El pánico es una estrategia del diablo. Cuando los creyentes entran en pánico, olvidan su autoridad en Cristo. Debes hablarle al viento de la vida. Aprende a estar a la altura de las circunstancias y nunca permitas que los problemas de la vida te acorralen.
