hello Blur Blog friends, in this post I did Power Up 100% as a form of my commitment to this blur blog.
In Aceh, it is very easy for tourists to find a surau or mosque, and Aceh is also famous for its very strong Islamic culture. In Pidie Jaya Regency there is an old mosque, the name is Medina Mosque. This mosque is located in Dayah Kruet Village, Kuta Baroh Village, Meurah Dua District, and is a religious tourism location in Aceh.
The Medina Mosque was built by Tengku Jalaluddin Al-Faqih in 1623 AD.
He was a military advisor to Sultan Iskandar Muda when the Kingdom of Aceh Darussalam attacked the Portuguese on the Malacca Peninsula in 1620 ago. He was also the founder of the royal military education center in Raweu.
He is from Khoja Faqih, Turkey. When he, together with Tengku Di Pucok Krueng and Malim Dagang, came to Meureudu Country, people called him by his short name, then followed him by the name of his native area. Jalaluddin was called by the short name "Ja", while the Acehnese Faqih called him "Pakeh", over time the people of the Meureudu Country called his name: Teungku Japakeh.
The Medina Mosque was built when Tengku Japakeh returned to war against the Portuguese in the Malacca Peninsula. Previously, the soldiers of the Kingdom of Aceh who took part in the war had been trained by the prophets sent from Turkey by the Ottoman Caliph to the military education center of the Kingdom of Aceh.
This mosque still maintains its authenticity. According to the story, the architect of this mosque is a Muslim from China named Husein China. Inside the mosque there is still an old pulpit. The pulpit was made in Medina Al Munawarah, Saudi Arabia. Tengku Japakeh brought the pulpit back to Meureudu Country when he returned from performing the pilgrimage. The calligraphy carvings on the pulpit are still clearly visible.
At the main entrance to the mosque, there is a Siamese urn that is hundreds of years old. The old jar, Tengku Japakeh, brought it home from Saudi Arabia after performing the pilgrimage.
There is also a pulpit in the Medina Mosque which is a pulpit made in Medina Al Munawarah, Saudi Arabia. The pulpit was brought home by Tgk Japakeh when he returned from a pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia. Although it is weathered due to its very old age, the pulpit made of wood is still clearly visible with calligraphy carvings.
