Aurangzeb's Quran from Tipu Sultan's Collection is in the British Library

Aurangzeb had an excellent skill of Calligraphy. He used to copy Quran, sell it and earn money. It is well documented that the Emperor Aurangzeb didn't take money from the government treasury for his personal expenses but used to sell his own skill of calligraphy.

Tipu Sultan kept a copy of Holy Quran in his library. Which was copied by Aurangzeb and belonged to Aurangzeb. When Tipu Sultan achieved martyrdom, his rich library was looted with other treasures. Almost everything related to Tippoo Saheb (as French called him) were transported to England. His book collection contained rare Quranic manuscripts. His personal copy of Quran and a Quran copied by Aurangzeb. 25% of his personal library is in custody of The British Library - London.

"This Koran belonged to the Emperor Aurangzebe and was purchased by that Prince for the some of nine thousand rupees."
