When Bangladesh seceded from East Pakistan , there citizens struggled to recognize the Bengali language. Even the UN General Assembly accepted it on May 16, 2007. And this day is celebrated as a festival in West Bengal. It's moto to preserve all the languages spoken in the world. Since 2008 it has implemented Languages as the International Year. And it was the Bangladeshi people who first started celebrating. Because February 21 is also the anniversary of Bangladesh. On this occasion, I congratulate the Bangladeshis on this great endeavor. This is a message to all of us that we should all strive to protect and promote our language.
