Hello friends, today I am going to talk to you about a famous mosque in Delhi, India, i.e. Moti Masjid. I hope you will like it very much.

Moti Masjid (Pearl Mosque) was built by Aurangzeb for his personal use. He would have to walk some distance from his bed to reach the holy place of worship at different times of the day or night. This mosque was used by ‘harem’ (seraglio) women who entered through a part of the north wall of the enclosure.
The mosque is built on a raised plinth and is entered through a copper-plated doorway with an east-arched gateway. The courtyard of this mosque is surrounded by high walls. Although red sandstone has been used externally, its interior is made up entirely of pure white marble. The prayer hall of the mosque is decorated with black marble outlines of ‘musalla’ (small carpets for prayers) and it stands on a higher level than the courtyard. The hall is decorated with three bulbs domes, mainly copper plated. There is a fountain in the yard with which 'Oyu' (ayu) is used.
