Missing my Yearly Visits to Yoga Retreat

in blurtindia •  4 years ago

This is the time every year that I visit a Yoga Retreat and take a complete break from everything including family. Time just for myself. But sadly last year I could not visit because of hubby's health condition and this year again I am not able to, due to travel restrictions.

This break is a very welcoming and warm for me. I get to meet new people on my visits, learn so many new things, time for detox, complete cleansing and moreover it's a ME time. The last I visited was to Sadhguru's Ashram Isha in Coimbatore, India. It was a 6 day visit that I made. People from all over the world had come and it's a good mix of different cultures. Getting to learn so many new things, meeting so many different types of people. It all adds up to experiences of life.

Another one thing is that I am a late riser, only when I go for these places then I have no choice but to get up early, and that is as early as 04:30 to 05:00 A.M. so that's also one good practice, and then there is discipline through out the day with all the activities.

This was the last Yoga Retreat group at Isha. People from all over the world and all age groups had come. There were teenagers as well as aged people. I clearly remember, there was one gentleman who was 72 years and he would not stop himself from anything. He had some back problem so he could not sit down, but he would sit on the chair and do all the Asanas. He also made it for the 2 kms long trek in a forest area, which was quite an inspiration. He is sitting next to me in the picture below. In the 2nd row 2nd from the right is me and the person next to me is him.

The overall vibe of this place is very calm and serene.

No filters at all, just look at the energy of this place, so uplifting.

In the month of July or Aug, if the situation gets any better, then I will surely make a visit to one of these places. This time not Isha but some other place. Let's hope for the best.

Now you can imagine, spending some few days by yourself in such a place is so rejuvenating for the soul. These days I am getting very emotional. I guess I am missing India way more then I express.

Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸
