It has 379 steps.
This is a five storeyed tower.
Qutubuddin started building Qutub Minar, but this tower was completed by Iltutmish.
It was completed in 1200 AD.
Due to the earthquake, the two floors above it were rebuilt by Firoz Shah.
Numerous verses of Qur'an are also written on the walls of this tower.
