In another two days, HPUD is coming. This has been one of the important days for me for the past few months. I have been powering up lots of Hive in the last few months. I guess I should say that I'm really happy about my progress in the year 2020. Though the year was a little rough for me and for most of them in real life, my crypto journey was very good and I was able to explore so many things.
The first date of every month is considered to be Hive Power Up day. This is the day when many people power up their Hive to show their loyalty towards Hive tokens. Some people also do it for getting the Badge and some people do it just like that without expecting any big benefit. I'm someone in the last category who is excited about this date and have been participating for the past few months consistently.
In 2020, I have powered up a total of 7726.641 Hive, and below is the complete list of my power-up data in 2020. It looks very interesting. Especially the 3500 Hive is an additional investment I made with all my BTC holdings.
Already 50 percent of all my post rewards are going to Hive power and I have not done power down at all. In addition to that, I have also converted the liquid HBD I have been earning from my posts to Hive and powered it up on Hive power-up day. Next month again I have around 500 Hive that I'm going to be using to power up. I always keep some liquid Hive with me to make sure I can sell a little and take a profit if the price of the Hive is pumping. Considering that fact, I have been holding some liquid Hive on exchanges as well.
My short term goal is to reach 20k Hive power in total. After that, I will start moving my funds to other investments. Though Hive is a good investment, it is not always good to put all the eggs in the same basket right. So, it is better to invest in other cryptocurrencies as well. I might as well buy some XRP as the price is very interesting right now.
