Jama Masjid - Delhi: commissioned by Shah Jahan and completed in 1656. The mosque has capacity of 25,000 people. The structure consists of three domes, two 41 meter tall minarets, three main doors and central ablution tank. Marble and red sand stones were used as a material to build this mosque. Thirty plus steps help worshipers to climb nine meter high plinth.
Badshahi Masjid - Lahore: commissioned by Aurangzeb and completed in the year of 1673. The mosque has capacity of 100,000 worshipers. The structure consists of three domes, four 53 meters tall minarets, single entry door and central ablution tank. Marble and red sand stones were used as material to build this mosque. Twenty two steps help worshipers to climb six meter high plinth.
Taj-Ul-Masajid - Bhopal: commissioned by Nawab of Bhopal Shah Jahan Begum. The foundation was laid in 1861. However it took more than a century to complete the construction in 1985. The mosque has capacity of over 150,000 worshipers. The structure consists of three domes, two minarets, three doors and central ablution tank. Marble, red sand stones and bricks were used as a material to build the mosque.
