Amid constant Islamophobia in Europe and recent surge in the USA specially after the new President's controversial statements and steps, are making few non-Muslim curious about Islam and Islamic History. There was a request to me to recommend a good book on the history of Islam.

My recommendations are:

  1. Islam: A short history by Karen Armstrong
  2. The Oxford history of Islam by John L Esposito.

Adversities could become opportunities, if we take steps wisely. I hope in an era such as this may there arise more Omar ibn khattabs, more Hamza ibn Abdul Muttalibs, more Khalid bin Waleed and the like. Through hate may there be guidance.

Below are cover photos of aforementioned books. Please share with friends and relatives, may truth prevail.
