These three birds you see are love birds.. but am gonna call them , love birds triangle , yeah, they seem to be like that. They are Pio’s (my nephew) pet , and they were given by his Uncle from his father;’s side . They were already 3 when they were given to Pio, and the other white one died when they were still with the original owner. As I’d look on the internet I believe they belong to the group of parrot which are called Parakeets

Lovebirds are one of the most popular pet parrot species. Beautiful and intelligent, these little birds have been one of the most beloved types of African parrot for more than 100 years. Although they are a type of parrot, and they do have the ability to mimic human speech, Lovebirds are not among those species that most would consider talking birds. This is because they very rarely decide to speak, and if they do choose to mimic a sound, more often than not they repeat simple noises such as whistles or household sounds such as doorbells and microwaves. It is not known why some lovebirds are more prone to mimicking speech than others, but it is widely believed that those who do learn to talk are taught from a very young age. source

My nephew gave names to them , the white one’s name is Dovey (coz it’s kinda like dove according to him) , the 1st green’s name is Tiger (because of the color and design of the feathers) then the other green’s name is Limey (pronounced as Laymi , that’s according to my nephew too , LOL . He really loves to have different pets, the rabbits are his’ as well.

There’s a belief that, when love birds, I mean a couple will be separated, or like one of ‘em died , the other one’s gonna be lonely and will die too. But according to what I’ve read, it’s advisable to take care just one bird or one love bird if you wanted them to be attached to you as their owner , since they are naturally affectionate and clingy , and if they have a pair, they are more likely to get attached just on the other birds it is with. So there , if you love to have them in your arms or in your shoulders, just get one bird.

With the case of Limey, Tiger and Dovey, I see them as love triangle hehe, I can see that Dovey doesn’t feel out of place coz the other two greens seems to socialize with it too. So hopefully , Dovey will stay strong and survive even without its original partner

My sister , her hubby and my nephew usually give them bird seeds as their food . they just buy it in local stores near their house . According to what I’ve read , love birds can also be fed with fruits and vegetables. There was this one morning when we had a sleep over in my sister’s house , these three are like alarm clocks, they seems to start singing and making their bird tweets, once the sun is already shining, and they are lovely to the ears, not irritating at all.
