All types of grasshoppers are mostly pests, they can damage various types of plants however, plants are their staple food. Many grasshoppers that we find in nature, are all plant predators. As usual, some grasshoppers can be consumed by humans, but the name locusts are still bad for us, because they are plant-eating invertebrates, both protected and unprotected plants.

Here are some close-up shots of grasshoppers on top of the taro leaves that I collected.
