The Alapaha Bulldog is a rare but very colorful breed. No less colorful is the history of beautiful animals. It all started when a Rebecca, Georgia farmer named Buck Lane decided to revive the Southern Planters' Bulldogs. His farm remained near the Alapaho River - that's how these bulldogs got their name.
These are stocky, athletic dogs, very muscular, with a pronounced chest and abdominal cavity. The limbs are proportional, with well-defined muscles. The head is broad, with a somewhat elongated muzzle and hanging ears. The tail and ears are not docked. Females have an average weight of up to 35 kg, males - up to 45-50 kg. Color: white, black, white-marble, dark yellow, spotted, reddish-brown.
They perfectly adapt to living conditions, loneliness is not perceived very well, but for some time during the day they can be alone. They need physical activity, long walks and mental stimulation.
