📷 Unforgettable Prague Zoo

Greeting to all Blurtorians! Have a nice day! When I was in Prague one day I decided to visit our younger brothers, I got a lot of pleasure and pleasant impressions.

Prague Zoo is something incredible, unusual, amazing. I spent the whole day in it and left only because it was getting dark, and these animal cries, the screeching of restless monkeys, and the" meowing " of tigers were terrifying. More recently, lions from the Indian state of Gujarat were brought for these cute lionesses.

And for the first time, after a 20-year break, it was possible to import purebred Indian lions from their homeland to Europe. Visitors to the zoo today will be able to see Yamvan, Suhi and cute Ginny in the predator pavilion, and the local beauties will not be bored anymore.

Of course, these are not tigers, but cute lionesses, but such "directors" are still found, but the video is good. I myself do not know how to shoot, and I do not photograph professionally, see for yourself my "masterpieces", but I have a memory for many years...

Prague Zoo is a whole living town, on the territory of which there are both open terraces for the accommodation of our younger brothers, and closed pavilions.

The zoo occupies a huge territory, almost 60 hectares of land. And it is divided into 2 levels, and after getting acquainted with the inhabitants of the first, the second can be reached by cable car, which is very convenient and you can view everything in the palm of your hand.

The enclosed pavilions contain panthers, tigers, monkeys, giraffes, birds and insects, as they would be a lot of trouble in the event of migration. The zoo has 645 different species of animals, and the total number of all inhabitants is about 5000.

Among the pavilions, I was particularly attracted to the most unique one called "Indonesian Jungle", opened in 2002 after a terrible flood and recreating the atmosphere of a real tropical jungle.

And the first animal that I decided to photograph was this giant turtle.
It is also called the Seychelles giant turtle, such huge I have never seen, they live on the island of Aldabra, and are distinguished by their huge size and rare shape of the shell. This cutie is already 120 years old.

And this is Tamara the elephant, who came to the zoo from the Republic of Sri Lanka, about 4 years ago. However, on the day of my visit to the zoo, well, she did not want to look at me, she was upset about something, she went boring and dissatisfied. Now I know why, she was pregnant, and 658 days later she had a baby.

Now there is a video with this miracle, which barely holds on to its legs.

I picked up one, a meowing cat, but you can't take it on the plane with you, and I couldn't come to visit it. So only this video remains.

But I spent probably an hour near the penguins, how funny they are all. By the way, for the youngest visitors, there is also a children's zoo, the inhabitants of which can be petted and even fed. Of course, these animals are not particularly exotic, but they are not dangerous for a young naturalist.

If you have seen enough of the cramped Russian menageries and are used to thinking that animals in zoos are both hungry and cold, ? go to Prague and find out the opposite.

Look at the 1000 wildlife inhabitants enjoying the comfort of urban life, and the flamingos were so busy exploring their territory that they didn't pay any attention to me at all. I never managed to capture them either in full face or in profile, only this view was successful ...

In one post, it is simply difficult to describe all the curious monkeys, slender giraffes, cunning foxes, and imposing hippos, and I did not have such a goal.

I just wanted to share with you the best impressions of what I saw... how smart this orangutan is, I was just amazed. I took the jacket of one of the workers serving the zoo, threw it on my back and "went into myself", apparently tired of the countless visitors :-)

It was very interesting to watch him, but the tourists and guests of the zoo were so noisy that he must have had a headache.
And in this "slide show" you will see photos and other wonderful inhabitants of the best zoo that I was lucky enough to visit.

I have a Sony DX-60 camera, and all photos are taken in auto mode.

Thank you for Your attention and visit.

I wish you luck and have a nice day!
Best wishes!
